About Robb Fessenden:
Robb Fessenden, the founder and president of End Of The Road Construction moved to Crested Butte in 1988. After graduating from the University Of California at Santa Cruz he set out to spend a winter skiing in Colorado. One winter turned into 25 years due to the Crested Butte magic.
During the first few years in Crested Butte he would leave for 7 months in the summer to do contract biology work in the Northwest and Alaska. He soon realized that Crested Butte summers were even more spectacular than the winters and became a year round resident.
Building on his experiences working as a furniture maker during college he began working in the custom home industry in the early nineties. In the late nineties he left town for a couple years to get a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. He then returned to work in Physical Therapy for a few years.
However, his desire to create beautiful, durable and healthy homes led him back into the construction trade. In 2002, he formed End Of The Road Construction and has been designing and building healthy, super energy efficient custom homes ever since. He is passionate about keeping up to date with the latest research and techniques associated with Building Science and healthy home construction. This knowledge guides the design and building processes and helps to create homes with excellent aesthetics and outstanding functional performance.
When not building or designing, he can be found mountain biking, paddle boarding or skiing with his wife, Karyn and two children, Lily and Cedar. When time permits, you might also find him trail running or backcountry skiing in Crested Butte’s incredible back yard.
